Job Title: Software Engineer

Summary :
Create an enterprise-level web application for an exciting start-up company that highly values the development and end-user experience. Our applications are multi-tiered, high-volume, life-saving products based on the latest technologies. Within this start-up environment you will be responsible for architecting, implementing and maintaining our applications – you will participate in all phases of the development lifecycle.

Who Should Apply:
Those with advanced object-oriented software architecture and design skills and 5+ years development experience creating Java and J2EE applications.

Qualifications:
1. University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Development expert in Java, C, C++
3. Understanding of DICOM and HL7
4. Proven experience with client-server architecture, software design patterns, and memory management
5. Solid understanding of multi-process, multi-threaded applications
6. Understands what it takes to be part of a small team with big responsibilities

Desirable Qualifications:
1. Design and maintenance experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
2. Experience with performance analysis and modeling tools
3. Experience with security design and implementation (i.e. security authentication and authorization services; data encryption)
4. Experience with image compression, decompression and caching
5. Familiarity working in an ISO13485/ISO9001 environment
